Summary

The UglyDolls have been knocking around for a while now in the form of a toy line that first launched in 2001, but with the release of a movie and now this video game they ve really hit the big time!

The robots have invaded (pesky robots!) and can be seen running around town, chasing the UglyDolls with rainbow feather dusters and doing all sorts of other robot-y things. You can sympathise with them, of course. They ve accidentally stumbled over to Uglyville from Perfection and the weird architecture and wonky angles everywhere are clearly getting to them, so they re malfunctioning all over the place.

The game takes the form of an open-world adventure. Playing as either Moxy or Ox you ll roam around the town of Uglyville, taking on various quests from the residents, meeting up with friends like Wage, Babo, Ice Bat, Lucky Bat and Ugly Dog and exploring the fun, ugly new world you find yourself in.

You can play by yourself or with a pal in co-op (teamwork makes the dream work!) and craft items like pogo sticks or special speed shoes to help you along the way. There s not just one way to find any bits and bobs you need, though. Maybe you ll find an item that requires speed shoes so that you can push a lever that opens a door and dash through, but if you haven t made those yet there might be alternative options such as using a pogo stick to hop over the wall. This freedom really gives kids the opportunity to use their creativity and exercise a few problem solving skills as they help out the UglyDolls.
