Summary

In 1996, an arcade legend was born with the release of Metal Slug Super Vehicle 001 on the Neo-Geo MVS Arcade system. The military-themed, side-scrolling platform game quickly became known for its sense of humour and hilarious cartoon style, mixed with extremely fluid hand-drawn animation and fast-paced two-player action. Metal Slug Super Vehicle 001's wild popularity meant that, based on its success, SNK would go on to develop and publish seven Metal Slug sequels.

Fast forward ten years or so, and the worldwide popularity of the franchise has seen many iterations across multiple platforms through the years. From Arcades to the PlayStation 2, to mobile phones and now the PSP, Metal Slug has made a huge impression on gamers over the years.

The Metal Slug 10th Anniversary party continues with the release of this definitive PSP collection of SNK's classic arcade franchise, featuring a whopping seven great Metal Slug titles on one UMD – a worthy tribute to the days of old-school shoot-'em ups.

Included in the collection are Metal Slugs 1 to 6 plus Metal Slug X – all perfect ports of the arcade classics and all featuring Wireless support for intense two-player co-op action.

It’s all here - the cartoon-style character design, the over-emphasised death animations and the amusingly ridiculous array of controllable vehicles such as turret-mounting camels, leap-frogging gun emplacements and, of course, Metal Slug itself.

This time the ‘Ikari Warriors’ – Ralf Jones and Clark Still (also familiar to fans of the KOF series) join in the action to aid Marco, Tarma, Eri and Fio in their battle with the elusive General Morden.

All versions have full support for both widescreen and original screen format. With loads of bonus galleries containing classic poster and character art, unlockable items and more Metal Slug goodies, this is the ultimate Metal Slug package in your hands.
