Summary

Right as hygge was making an odd journey from Danish concept to worldwide publishing phenomenom, developer ColdWood Interactive was busy turning it into a videogame. Whether the team meant to or not, it did something that might seem impossible to mums watching their teens playing first-person shooters - made a game that felt like the idea of coziness.

You play as Yarny, one of the strangest and sweetest protagonists in the history of gaming. Yarny's a single piece of yarn come to life that seeks to tether together the memories of the woman whose home he inhabits. Traversing the landscapes of her memories, Yarny always remains tethered to something, unraveling as he walks. Get too far without tethering him to something new and he'll become too thin and be unable to continue. His stringy body also presents an opportunity, however - he can use the yarn of his own body to solve physics-based puzzles in the environments he seeks to navigate.

In the second game that makes up this bundle, you create a Yarny of your very own and form relationships with other Yarnys as a single player or in local co-op.

As clever as the mechanics of Unravel are, however, its real appeal is in its charm and texture. ColdWood Interactive has crafted a beautiful world that you'll want to spend as much time in as possible.
